Learning through cartoons

I read an article in the week saying that teens learn better from comics than text books. I was fascinated by this, and it makes sense if it is true that the brain thinks in pictures – a comic or graphic depiction of conceptual information meets the brain in its own language, rather than having to convert concepts into ideas.
