Monday Mindfulness (Public Class)

Time for you to relax and de-stress:

  • start the week in a calm environment
  • learn skills to help you let go of stress and nagging thoughts
  • learn a natural way to deal with addictions and feel more content
  • improve you sense of self-worth and confidence
  • meet some nice people!

The evening consists of a series of guided meditations. No prior experience of meditation is needed as full instructions are given and you are guided into the meditation.

Mindfulness practice is a cultivation of the ability to attend to your moment by moment experiences of sensations, thoughts and feelings through gently placing attention on the sensations of breathing. You do not have to get it right, and there is no getting it wrong. In mindfulness practice all we do is place attention on the breath, notice when this has wandered and then gently place our attention back on the breath – doing this as many times as we need to  without self judgement or criticism.

The evening consists of two short guided meditations with a chance to stretch in between. Nick gives an introduction to the evening which offers a theme to reflect on and explore in your daily life.
