The mind in it natural state is peaceful and calm……

As I sat at the computer just now I could see two bookmarks – You Tube or Ajahn Chah. Habit pulled me to You Tube, but another impulse took me to Ajahn Chah. I’m glad! It was so lovely to be reminded of his simple and direct teaching. He describes the mind as radiant and naturally peaceful, it is only by believing in our moods that this stillness of mind gets disturbed, like a leaf trebling in the wind and we think the mind itself is the mood we are feeling. Meditation is the practice of learning not to be pulled away by the moods but to rest into the natural state of the mind in its original state.
